Exploration of Medicine (EM), a peer-reviewed, open access online journal, publishes articles that provide substantial and novel insights into medicine. It seeks articles about the clinical investigation and disease mechanisms across a wide spectrum of medical specialties.
Under the leadership of the Editor-in-Chief, Lindsay A. Farrer, Ph.D. (Professor of Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Epidemiology, and Biostatistics, Boston University Schools of Medicine and Public Health), EM aims to publish the first issue in November 2019 and achieve an impact factor of at least 3.0 within five years through strict quality control and worldwide promotion.
EM is seeking medical science experts around the world to be the Associate Editors for the following sections:
★ cardiovascular medicine & hematology;
★ oncology & cancer biology;
★ neuroscience & neuropsychiatric disorders;
★ endocrinology & metabolism;
★ pulmonary medicine & critical care;
★ rheumatology & inflammation;
★ microbiology, immunology & infectious disease;
★ genetics & genome biology &computational biomedicine;
★ gastroenterology & hepatology;
★ urology & nephrology;
★ women's health;
★ preventive medicine & public health;
★ radiology, nuclear medicine, and imaging;
★ ophthalmology & otolaryngology;
★ regenerative medicine;
★ lifespan medicine (pediatrics, adult internal medicine, and geriatrics).
Official Term: Three years which may be renewed (with the Letter of Appointment)
Responsibilities
★ Work with the Editor-in-Chief to make annual publication plans and implement the plans;
★ Assist the Editor-in-Chief to review articles for the section, and oversee the section peer review process;
★ Recommend 5-8 candidates in your field for editorial board members;
★ Contribute high quality articles to the section;
★ Organize a special issue during the term;
★ Participate in the journal editorial board meetings or seminars;
★ Promote the journal in scientific conferences and broker communication between the journal and academic organizations or societies.
