Mobile health (mHealth) technologies, particularly mobile apps, are increasingly used for managing allergies and asthma, offering tools for self-monitoring, symptom tracking, medication reminders, and access to information and support. Topics of this special issue may include: mHealth apps for allergy and asthma management, self-monitoring, medication reminders, information and support, gamification and motivational tools, digital inhalers, artificial intelligence, spirometers, telemedicine, digital biomarkers, and wearable sensors.
Other possible topics are potential benefits of mHealth, improved adherence to treatment, enhanced self-management, increased patient satisfaction, potential for reduced healthcare costs, barriers and facilitators of digital health, patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), information and communication technologies in allergy patients.
