About the Special lssue

Aging is a complex and multifactorial process that involves the progressive decline of physiological functions and the increasing risk of developing chronic diseases. However, recent research has highlighted the crucial role of hormones in regulating the aging process. Hormones are signaling molecules produced by various glands in the body that regulate different functions, including growth, metabolism, reproduction, and aging. The Fountain of Youth: Decoding the Hormonal Regulation of Aging is a special issue that aims to explore the latest advances in the field of hormonal regulation of aging. The issue will cover topics such as the molecular mechanisms underlying the effects of hormones on aging, the role of hormones in age-related diseases, and the potential therapeutic interventions targeting hormonal pathways to promote healthy aging. The issue will provide insights into the fundamental mechanisms underlying the aging process and highlight the potential of hormonal regulation as a promising avenue for promoting healthy aging.

Keywords: aging; hormones; molecular mechanisms; age-related diseases; therapeutic interventions; healthy aging
