Dear Colleagues,
Metabolism represents a complex and highly regulated system that ensures that cells, tissues and body systems function effectively and efficiently in a myriad of situations. This central plank of homeostasis is co-ordinated by multiple layers of control, but is strongly impacted by cytokine receptor signaling. Furthermore, disruption of these signals through environmental and genetic factors is associated with a range of metabolic diseases.
This Special Issue, which is entitled ‘Role of dysregulated cytokine signaling pathways in metabolic disease’ will focus on the central role played by alterbed cytokine signaling in the pathogenic disruption of metabolism.
I look forward to your submissions, including both regular papers and review articles.
Best regards
