    About the Special Issue

    The special issue will form a updated comprehensive review of Helicobacter pylori. The intent of the issue is to cover the following aspects: epidemiology of H. pylori infection, genomics of H. pylori,  proteins of H. pylori, invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests and new methods of diagnosis of H. pylori infection and their potential clinical use, detect strains resistant to specific antibiotics, bacterial virulence factors and pathogenesis, adaptation of H. pylori to the gastric environment, mechanism of antibiotic resistance in H. pylori, interaction of Helicobacter pylori and gut microbiota in gastric cancer, role of probiotics in the management of H. pylori,  prognosis of H. pylori infection, association of H. pylori with gastric cancer and other cancers such as esophageal cancer and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, colon, rectum, strategies for the prevention and control of H. pylori, development of new drugs and use of probiotics and herbal products as therapeutics, association of H. pylori with other diseases, and effects H. pylori on inflammation, gastritis and ulcer.
