About the Special lssue

Conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and Huntington's disease affect millions globally. The complex interplay of genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors is crucial in the onset and progression of these debilitating conditions, highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive research to uncover the underlying mechanisms and develop effective therapeutic strategies.

This special issue features groundbreaking research and innovative approaches that enhance our understanding of neurodegenerative disease mechanisms and explore novel therapeutic interventions. Contributions span a diverse range of topics, including molecular pathways, protein aggregation dynamics, cellular signaling cascades, neuroinflammation mechanisms, synaptic dysfunction, immunotherapy, and neuronal regeneration strategies. Additionally, we explore emerging technologies such as extracellular vesicle therapy, gene editing techniques, advanced neuroimaging modalities, and biomarker discovery for early diagnosis and treatment monitoring.

Our aim is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and drive scientific advancements in the field of neurodegenerative diseases. By bringing together diverse perspectives and pioneering research findings, we hope to inspire further investigation, accelerate translational efforts, and enhance clinical applications, ultimately contributing to the development of innovative therapies and improved patient outcomes.
